Engagement and wedding rings.
Some questions are only asked once. The ring that answers it is made here in Boston, by hand, at one bench at 333 Washington Street.
Held by four claws, and nothing else.
The ring at the heart of this site is a four-claw solitaire: white gold, each claw drawn to a taper and polished to a mirror, holding a two-carat brilliant cut for fire. Four claws and nothing else, so the stone is what you see.
Every engagement ring and wedding band here is made to order, at the same bench that will resize it, retip its claws and check its settings in the years after. The ring is drawn, set and finished by the person who hands it to you.
What the bench makes.
Rings for the question, and for the day after it.
-
Engagement rings
Made to order from a drawing, including four-claw solitaires set with the stone of your choosing.
-
Wedding bands
Made to order at the same bench, on their own or to sit beside an engagement ring.
-
A stone you already have
A stone from a family ring can be set into a new one. Any risk we can see in an older stone is pointed out before it is set.
-
The Adriano ring box
It opens with its own light: a lamp in the lid, so the moment has light wherever it happens.
See the stone. Get the size right.
Colour varies between screens, and gemstone colour especially should be judged in person. Book a half-hour visit and the request is confirmed by phone, or walk in during opening hours.
The first resizing of a ring bought here is free within thirty days, so a ring chosen as a surprise can still be made to fit. How a made-to-order ring runs, from the drawing to collection, is set out under custom jewelry design.
Questions about rings.
- Can I choose the stone?
- Yes. Rings are made to order, and four-claw solitaires are set with the stone of your choosing. You can also bring a stone of your own.
- What if the ring does not fit?
- The first resizing of a ring bought here is free within thirty days. Resizing is done by hand at the bench in Boston, like every repair.
- Can an engagement ring be returned?
- A ring made to order is a custom commission and cannot be returned. A stock piece can be returned within fourteen days of receiving it, unworn and unaltered, in its original box and with its paperwork; a ring that has been resized or engraved cannot. The details are in the return and refund policy.
- How do I start?
- Walk in Monday to Saturday, 09:00 am to 04:30 pm, or book a half-hour visit. Bring a drawing, a photograph of a ring you like, or nothing at all.
- Is the ring guaranteed?
- Yes. The workmanship is guaranteed against defects for one year from purchase, and the settings and clasps of pieces bought here are checked once a year free of charge. Claws wear with daily wear, which is what the yearly check is for.
Also at the bench.
