Visiting the store.
- Where is Adriano Jewelry?
- At 333 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02108, in downtown Boston. The contact page has a map and directions.
- What are the opening hours?
- Monday to Saturday, 09:00 am to 04:30 pm, closed on Sundays. Call 857‑991‑1679 to confirm the day, or to arrange a time outside those hours.
- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in during normal business hours, or call ahead to arrange a time. There is also an online booking form for half-hour visits from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, from the next day onward and never on a Sunday; every request is confirmed by phone before it is final.

Custom work and rings.
- Does Adriano Jewelry make custom jewelry?
- Yes. Pieces are made from a drawing, a photograph or an idea, and designed, set and finished at one bench in Boston. See custom jewelry design.
- Does Adriano Jewelry make custom engagement rings?
- Yes. Engagement rings and wedding bands are made to order, including four-claw solitaires set with the stone of your choosing. See engagement and wedding rings.
- Can I use my own stone or gold?
- Yes. You confirm the material is yours to have worked. Older stones and mounts can carry hidden stress; any risk we can see is pointed out before we start, but a supplied stone cannot be guaranteed against damage during setting.
- Is there a deposit for custom work?
- Yes. Custom work, special orders and reservations need a deposit before work begins, and it is applied to the final balance. The balance is due before the piece leaves the shop.
- How long does a custom piece take?
- The timeline is set out in the written agreement for each commission. It is an honest estimate: stone sourcing, casting and setting can run long, and you are told as soon as a date will move.
Repairs and restoration.
- Can Adriano Jewelry resize my ring or fix a broken chain?
- Yes. Repairs are done by hand at the bench: resizing, retipping claws, soldering, clasps and chains, and stone tightening. See jewelry repair.
- Are repairs done on site?
- Yes. There is a bench, a lamp and a microscope behind the cases at 333 Washington Street, and nothing is sent out.
- Can an old family piece be restored?
- Yes. Heirloom and antique restoration is one of the four things the bench does, and the work keeps the character of the original rather than making it look new. See heirloom restoration.
- Is the work guaranteed?
- Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase or of the completed repair. The guarantee does not cover ordinary wear, accident or misuse, stones lost from impact, or work done by another jeweller.
Buying and returns.
- Can I return a piece?
- Yes, within fourteen days of receiving or collecting it, if it comes back unworn and unaltered, in its original box with its tags and paperwork. Pieces bought as gifts between 1 November and 24 December can be returned until 15 January. Custom commissions, resized or engraved pieces, earrings and final-sale items cannot be returned. Call 857‑991‑1679 before sending anything back; the full return and refund policy is in the terms.
- Is resizing free on a ring bought here?
- The first resizing of a ring bought here is free within thirty days.
- Will you check a piece I bought here?
- Yes. Jewelry is worn, not stored, so a check of settings and clasps once a year is recommended, and it is free of charge for pieces bought here.
The bench.
- How long has Adriano been doing this?
- Twenty-three years at the bench, trained in Europe and working in America.
- Who makes the jewelry?
- The jeweller does. Every piece that leaves the shop is drawn, set and finished here, by hand, by the person who hands it back to you. Read more about the bench.
